LIVING LARGE

New paintings by Lisa Sanditz go on display Friday in the exhibit “Organized Living.” The new works are based on a series of road trip across America. In one painting, a big-box home store is painted in an imposing checkerboard pattern against an orange sky. In another, a cookie-cutter housing development is commercially endorsed by the hugely popular painter Thomas Kinkade. A large mural by Ms. Sanditz went on display yesterday at Canal and Greene streets as part of a public art project by Creative Time and United Technologies. Reception: Friday, 6-8 p.m. Exhibit: Friday through Saturday, October 29, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., CRG Gallery, 535 W. 22nd St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, 212-229-2766, free.
